When students move in to your corporation and have grades earned from a previous grading period, those grades can be entered into Harmony if you wish for them to average with the current grading period for figuring a term grade.

For example, if a student moved into your corporation in November and earned a B for the 1st 9 weeks in English, you may wish to have that grade factored into the term grade for English at your school.

To do this, go to Guidance…Classes by Students and open that class under the student.  Type in the transfer in grade for the previous grading period under the GP 1 row.  Be sure to enter a letter grade, percent and point value.  Then checkmark the “MidTerm”box to signify that the grade needs to be on report cards.

With that data entered, it will then factor into the overall term grade at the close of the term.  It will use that grade for the grading period 1 grade and average that with grading period 2 and a semester test (if one is given).
