Enabling DEX for the new school year
When you are ready to begin sending data to DEX for the new school year do the following:
Go to Office Use… Sync Data … IDOE Data Exchange
Then touch Show/Hide Ed-Fi setup at the top of that page
Pick the target ODS year as the current year and check the Enable data sync box
Touch Save Ed-Fi Settings
Once the data sync is enabled, data will begin flowing to DEX.
If you enable data sync and do NOT upload your system profile and your calendar, your users will receive error messages as they work in Harmony
Before DEX will accept student data they need your system settings and your calendar. To make sure both are ready to upload do the following:
Updating your System Profile
Office use.. System settings.. System profile
Make sure the number of terms and grading periods are set correctly for your school
Make sure your grading period dates have been updated for the current school year
Entering your School Calendar
