Gmail Relay (Hosted Harmony Schools)
Gmail Relay (Hosted Harmony Schools)
Background:
There’s a growing struggle in the IT world with mass emails and email marketing. Anytime that you send 300 to 400 email at the same time, with the same content, the receiving server will reject it because it believes it is SPAM from someone “acting”as the actual sender.
So by trying to prevent SPAM, companies like Google and Yahoo and Comcast, are making it nearly impossible for schools, colleges, or email marketers, like Constant Contact to send mass email messages which are not SPAM.
If some of your messages go through but others don’t, this is likely the reason.
As an alternate solution we can relay mail thru your Gmail domain if you add a SMTP relay service (detailed directions are included below).
